Overview

The PPS Glide™ Single Patient Use Lateral Air Transfer Mattress is intended to be used as a patient transfer system to assist in moving patients between flat surfaces. This manual is designed to assist you with the safe operation and maintenance of the PPS Glide™ Single Patient Use Lateral Air Transfer Mattress. The PPS Glide™ Single Patient Use Lateral Air Transfer Mattress system is comprised of the PPS Glide™ Air Blower unit (3060), and the Glide™ Air Transfer Mattress (3062). Read this manual thoroughly before using the equipment or beginning maintenance on it. To ensure safe operation of this equipment, it is recommended that methods and procedures be established for educating and training staff on the safe operation of the PPS Glide™ Single Patient Use Lateral Air Transfer Mattress.

The PPS Glide™ Single Patient Use Lateral Air Transfer Mattress transfers a patient on a soft nylon mattress designed with hundreds of tiny perforations on the underside. The Air Blower unit connects to the mattress and blows high volume air out through the tiny perforations on the underside of the mattress. This continuous air flow helps to reduce friction between the transfer surface and the PPS Glide™ Single Patient Use Lateral Air Transfer Mattress allowing the patient to be moved with ease.
